Mighty Oaks aims to connect old and young through intergenerational arts-based programmes, brings them together for mutual joy and learning. This year’s theme “Experiencing Miracles” was inspired by the generosity of volunteers and resilience of elders as the community emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The cover depicts a plant growing out of harsh and rocky terrain, which represents the theme of experiencing miracles during a tough period. The recurring motif of the plant throughout the publication is a nod to Mighty Oaks’ logo and their commitment to nurturing intergenerational relationships and the growth of both old and young.

The earthy colour palette, including terracotta red, pale orange, daisy yellow, desert sand and the two greens from Mighty Oaks’ brand colours, is comforting and hopeful. The use of organic shapes and lines reflects the friendly and welcoming nature of the organisation, and subtly refers to the artwork made by children and elders together.
